Patrick Commecy can be called one of the most talented contemporary artist. His monumental mural is amazing. The artist creates large-scale optical illusion painting on the facades of buildings windows and balconies. One gets the feeling that this is part of the architectural ensemble.
To create a different picture the artist was inspired by the novel “Kloshmerl” Gabriel Chevalier. In this work, the author showed a whole gallery of characters typical of the 1930s.
Patrick Commecy in turn drew a panorama of French life of this period. On balconies you can see people unfold before the audience hyperrealistic scenes from the life French. Often Patrick Commecy depicts the famous French people: politicians, scientists, athletes. For example, in one of the houses in Montpellier artist painted six honorary citizens, including Antoine Balard, the discoverer of bromine.
Medieval painted facades are proud of many Czech towns. For example, in Český Krumlov is a house with painted windows, curiously peeking tenants. In Europe, there are contemporary artists who in this way transform the faceless walls of buildings. For example, (Patrick Commecy) is the author of the wonderful street art on the streets of French cities.
Most of the drawings created by the initiators of the project in France are in large and small towns of France. Figures are in hyper-realistic style, so if don’t say the viewer, it is only after careful consideration, you will see that all the facades, in fact, are counterfeit. Very often, artists stick to the window and “output” on the image of the famous balcony of local residents, past and present. Below you can see facade paintings from different parts of France.
